Show Notes
This was Phish’s only show at the Nissan Pavilion – an amphitheater with a capacity of 24,444. The Spring 1995 Doniac Schvice called this venue “Cellar Door Pavilion at Stone Ridge.” Tickets cost $20.00. After some work on the song during soundcheck, set I featured the 1st Johnny B. Goode (Chuck Berry cover) played by Phish. This song dated all the way back to Mike’s high school days with the Tombstone Blues Band. Trey sang the verses of Fee through his megaphone. Stash, which segued out of The Curtain, subsequently included teases of The Curtain. Tweezer contained a tease of Montana from “A Live One.” The encore was the 1st public performance of Three Little Birds during which the band was joined by LeRoi Moore on saxophone and Dave Matthews on acoustic guitar and vocals. After this show, the band and crew traveled 554 miles overnight to Indianapolis, Indiana for a day off.
