This was Phish’s first show at the Charlotte Coliseum – a hockey and basketball arena known as “The Hive” (home of the NBA Charlotte Hornets) with a scaled capacity of 13,368 for this event. Tickets cost $20.00. Dog Log from soundcheck was played to an unusual melody and the soundcheck Drums Check was set to Rift. Makisupa Policeman key word(s) was “woke up this morning at 40 minutes to 5.” This was the 1st public performance of the slow arrangement of Poor Heart (but see 10/9/94 et. seq. for soundchecked slow versions). Stash included a Theme From James Bond tease. Trey teased Tweezer during Suzy Greenberg. After this show the band and crew traveled overnight to Winston-Salem for a day off.
