Show Notes

This was the first Phish show in Houston since 1990. The venue was listed in the April/May Doniac Schvice as Bayou City Theater but was moved to the Tower Theater – a 1936 Art Deco movie house and performing arts venue designed by W. Scott Dunne with a capacity of 1,750. The David Bowie intro contained Oom Pah Pah, Finger Scrape and The Simpsons secret language as well as Hold Your Head Up teases from the preceding sequence. The encore was performed without microphones – Ginseng Sullivan was acoustic with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on bass, Page on Melodica and Fish on Madonna washboard and Free Bird was A capella without microphones.
