Show Notes

This was night three of a 3-night stand and was Phish’s last show at the Warfield. Nellie Cane and My Mind’s Got a Mind of Its Own were performed acoustic and without amplification with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on upright bass, Page on Melodica, Fish on Madonna washboard and Morgan Fichter (who played violin on the Hoist version of Lifeboy) on fiddle. The jam out of Mike’s Song leg to the 1st Simple played in public (it was actually first played at 5/19/94 soundcheck). Simple led to another debut – the 1st O Mio Babbino Caro (an aria by Puccini) played which showcased vocalist Andrea Baker singing without a microphone. Before Possum, the band handed out boxes of Kraft Flintstones macaroni and cheese for the audience to shake (this was the 3rd Mac and Cheese Jam in the tradition of 9/27/85 and 10/31/89) during Possum and Fire. Appropriately, Possum also included a tease of the “Flintstones” theme.
