Show Notes

This was Phish’s second and last show at this venue, which was commonly referred to as “The Bob”. For this show, The Bob’s stated capacity was 4,558. Tickets cost $15.50 and this was one of the first six shows on the tour for which mail order tapers’ tickets were offered. Trey’s foot was in a brace due to torn ligaments. Dog Faced Boy was performed by Trey on guitar with backing vocals (but no other instrumentation) from the band. As they began Ya Mar, Trey dedicated the song to his girlfriend (now-wife) saying “I’m going to send this out with a very special dedication…with all my love to Sue standing right there…” Mike’s Song featured “Big Phil” Muller on mini-tramp substituting for Trey on the trampolines routine while holding Fish’s “Faht” guitar. After the Hold Your Head Up outro, Trey introduced Fish as Greasy Fizeek.
