This was Phish’s 1st and only show at Kent State – in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center gymnasium with a capacity of 5,900. Tickets cost $18.00 and the show was sold out. This show kicked off the second leg of the fall tour and the November/December 1994 Doniac Schvice contained a listing of all the fall and New Year’s shows as well as a new warning that “If a show is sold out, please don’t come if you don’t have a ticket.” Down With Disease sandwiched the 1st Have Mercy in more than a year (since 8/14/93) and was the only time the Disease > Mercy > Disease combination was played. Old Home Place, Nellie Kane were performed acoustic with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on banjo, Page on upright bass and Fish on mandolin. Foreplay/Longtime was also performed acoustic with with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on banjo, Page on upright bass and Fish on Madonna washboard. The beginning of set II from this show: Julius, Fluffhead > Down With Disease > Have Mercy > Down With Disease was released from in February 2005 as filler on the livephish.com download release of “12/1/94 Salem, OR”.
