Tickets cost $22.50 and the show was sold out. This show employed quadraphonic sound, with speaker stacks at each of the four corners of the venue. During soundcheck, the band worked on arranging Chalk Dust Torture to get the timing right for the Late Show with David Letterman. They taped Letterman between soundcheck and show time and watched it with family, crew and friends backstage immediately post-show. Simple ended A cappella with “Skyballs”. Trey sang the verses of Fee through his megaphone. I’m Blue I’m Lonesome was performed acoustic with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on banjo, Page on upright bass and Fish on mandolin. Trey teased Auld Lang Syne during You Enjoy Myself. After Hold Your Head Up, Trey introduced Fish as Moses Brown. This rendition of Wilson was released on “A Live One”.
