This was Phish’s second show at Assembly Hall. Tickets cost $18 for students and $20.00 for non-students and the show was sold out. Axilla was the first played in more than 2 years (since 10/16/94) and was reworked to add the Axilla (Part II) ending without the “don’t shine that thing in my face” lyrics from ‘Hoist’. Trey had some gear problems during Axilla and Simple, leading to some amp-kicking and inspiring Loving Cup that followed. Cecilia (Paul Simon cover) was teased during Simple. All Things Reconsidered was played for the first time in more than a year (since 7/1/95). After this show the band and crew traveled 370 miles overnight to Detroit, Michigan.
