Phish - 1996

Leon County Civic Center
Tallahassee, FL, US

Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s only show at the Leon County Civic Center – a multi-purpose arena opened in 1981 by Florida State University with a stated capacity for this show of 9,300. Tickets cost $22.00. As was the case for the next four gigs (with the exception of Halloween set I), Karl Perazzo from Santana joined the band on percussion for the entire show. After Suspicious Minds, Trey introduced Fish as “Norton Charlton Heston.” This monster Mike’s Song included some proto-funk and a jam reminiscent of Houses In Motion. After this show the band and crew traveled 274 miles overnight to Atlanta, Georgia for a day off.
