This was Phish’s fifth show at MSG and the second show of a 2-night stand. Tickets cost $25.00 and the show was sold out. The show took place during the World Series Game 3 while the Yankees played the Braves in Atlanta. Trey played Talk on acoustic guitar. This Weekapaug Groove is commonly referred to as the “Freakapaug” due to Mindy K’s dancers/voguers (including Mimi Fishman) who danced around onstage and on Page’s piano. All Along The Watchtower was played for the first time in more than two years (since 4/21/94) and featured Buddy Miles on drums and vocals, Merl Saunders on keyboards, Fish on Trey’s percussion kit, and Mindy K and her dance troupe. After this show the band and crew traveled 120 miles overnight to Hartford, Connecticut.
