Phish - 1996

Stadtpark Open Air
Hamburg, Germany

Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s second show at Stadtpark Open Air – a grassy amphitheater set inside Hamburg’s “central” city park with a stated capacity of 4,000. Tickets cost 35,00 DM. It was a 1-set show – opening for Santana – and the last show on the Europe tour. After Run Like An Antelope, Trey introduced Life On Mars? saying “We’re very happy to be here. We’re going to play a couple more tunes and then get Santana out here. Thank you all for coming. I wish I could speak German but I can’t. This next song is by David Bowie and we hope you like it.” After this show the band and crew stayed overnight in Hamburg before flying back to the United States the following day. After arriving back in the U.S. the band and crew began preparation for the U.S. Summer Tour and The Clifford Ball.
