Show Notes

This was Phish’s second show at this venue – stated capacity was 12,579. Tickets cost $22.50 and the show was sold out. Soundcheck found the band testing out Catapult with theremin (mashed up with The Star Spangled Banner) and working out details for their upcoming Halloween musical costume. In a rare one-time Mule sandwich, Catapult was played twice during the Scent Of A Mule duel – first by Mike, and then by Page solo on theremin. Split Open And Melt included In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida teases. Taste contained a tease of Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown). Trey played Talk on acoustic guitar. After this show the band and crew traveled 403 miles overnight to Tallahassee, Florida for a day off.
