This was Phish’s first show at the Hartford Civic Center – a basketball and hockey arena (attached to a shopping mall) opened in 1975 with a stated capacity for this show of 16,166. Tickets cost $22.50 and the show was sold out. The entire set II and encore featured Bob Gullotti (from The Fringe and Surrender To The Air) on a second drum kit along with Fish. This was the first time since The Joneses days and the 4/21/94 encore with Carter that Phish had two drum sets on stage. After this show, the crew traveled 546 miles overnight to Hampton, VA (and the band to New York City) for a day off.
