This was Phish’s first show at Van Andel Arena – a modern hockey and basketball arena opened in 1996 just about a month before this show. The show was general admission and tickets cost $22.50. Axilla contained the Axilla (Part II) ending without the ‘Hoist’ lyrics. Divided Sky included Fall Down secret language. Maple Leaf Rag (Scott Joplin cover) was teased by Page at the end of Gumbo. Mike played some foot bell on his boxing ring fight bell during Tweezer. After this show the band and crew traveled 594 miles overnight to Minneapolis, MN so the band could sing the national anthem at the Timberwolves-Lakers NBA game the following night.
