The Star-Spangled Banner

Show Notes
This was Phish’s second performance at The Spectrum and the first show of a 2-night stand. Tickets cost $25.00 and the show was sold out. The Makisupa Policeman keyword(s) were “Stink, Stank, Stunk,” referencing The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. This was the only Digital Delay Loop Jam > The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday combination (but see 6/22/94 for the reverse). Weekapaug Groove ended with a Page solo. Before The Star Spangled Banner, Trey mentioned that he’s a lifelong Flyers fan and dedicated the National Anthem to Kate Smith, whose rendition of God Bless America was played (and occasionally performed live) before many Flyers’ home games starting in 1969.
