This was Phish’s second show at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Listed capacity for the show was 9,314 and tickets cost $20.00. Karl Perazzo played percussion the entire show – this was Karl’s fourth and final show on the fall 1996 tour. The Possum intro included a tease of the China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider transition (Grateful Dead cover).  After this show the band and crew traveled 551 miles overnight to Knoxville, TN for a couple days off. The Gainesville Tweezer was released in November 2007 on the ‘Road to Vegas’ bonus disc that was included with the ‘Vegas 96’ box set.
