Show Notes
This was Phish’s second (and last to-date) show at Memorial Coliseum. Tickets cost $22.50 and the show was nearly sold-out. The Dog Log/Funky Bitch Mashup from soundcheck was the music of Funky Bitch with Dog Log lyrics. Reba ended without whistling. I Didn’t Know included a Fish vacuum solo and a Because tease (The Beatles cover). Trey replaced the “Marco Esquandolas” lyric in Run Like An Antelope with “Norton Charlton Heston.” Before Ginseng Sullivan, Trey clarified that it’s a Norman Blake cover, not a Tim O’Brien song as announced a few nights before (at 11/22/96). The MTV ‘Clifford Ball’ television special aired this night. After this show the band and crew traveled 174 miles overnight to Seattle, Washington for a couple days of recording at Stepping Stone Recording with John Siket.
