This was Phish’s only show at this venue, a multi-purpose performing arts center with a capacity of 1,998. Kung was sandwiched inside Split Open And Melt for the first and only time. The crowd clapped along to the intro to Esther, which also included Random Note and The Simpsons secret language. Lengthwise began with a Kalimba (thumb piano) solo by Fish and ended with some group harmonization that segued into the intro to Maze. This was the 1st Golden Lady (Stevie Wonder cover) played at soundcheck and subsequently during the show. Guyute included the alternative lyric “dancing like a newborn elf.” Following a stunning Harry Hood, Nellie Kane and Foreplay/Longtime were performed acoustic without amplification with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on banjo, Page on upright bass and Fish on Madonna washboard. After this show the band and crew traveled 228 miles overnight to Sunrise, Florida.
