Show Notes
This was Phish’s third performance at Deer Creek and the second show of a 2-night stand. Reserved tickets cost $22.50 and the show was sold out. By the time of this show, setup had begun for the stage at The Clifford Ball in Plattsburgh, NY. During the soundcheck Jam, Trey played the composed section of Divided Sky while the band jammed. Before Divided Sky, Trey declared “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again” and then ripped into the intro. Somewhere Over The Rainbow was performed solo by Page on Theremin. In the 2nd acoustic mini-set of summer: Waste, Train Song and Strange Design featured Page on an upright piano, Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on acoustic bass and Fish on a stripped down drum kit. This show was released in April 2002 as ‘LivePhish Volume 12’. After this show the band and crew traveled 552 miles overnight to Hershey, Pennsylvania.
