Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st and only show at Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium – a concert hall opened in 1955 with a capacity of 3,944. My Sweet One from soundcheck was the country version. Columbus Soundcheck Jam was based on The Wedge. My Sweet One was performed acoustic and without amplification with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on upright bass, Page on Melodica and Fish on Madonna washboard. Carolina was performed A cappella without microphones. Catapult was sung over a Midnight Rider jam (Allman Brothers Band cover). This insane Icculus included elements of Simple and vice-versa as Trey made sure heads in Ohio’s capital city were aware of the need to Read The Book in order to Save Their Lives. Weekapaug Groove was unfinished, instead melting smoothly into the The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday intro. The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday outro segued into Fluffhead by way of a Digital Delay Loop Jam. Cavern included a tease of Voodoo Child (Slight Return). Trey updated the crowd throughout the show on the outcome of the New York Knicks vs. Houston Rockets game which was televised during the gig. This show was released on CD and download as “LivePhish10” on Elektra in April 2002 with filler from 6/24/94 Indianapolis, IN. Columbus Soundcheck Jam from the soundcheck was later released as an iTunes bonus in February 2009.
