Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show at “The Fabulous Fox” in St. Louis – a historic, ornate Siamese Byzantine style movie palace/theater opened in 1929 with a capacity of 4,273. Tickets cost $19.50 and the show was sold out. Poor Heart was played twice during the soundcheck – the first featured alternative “pickup/stickup” lyrics and the second was the slow version. Amazing Grace during the soundcheck and set I was performed A cappella without microphones. Trey sang the verses of Fee through his megaphone. Tweezer included a tease of Power Of Soul (Jimi Hendrix cover) during its formidable jam. You Enjoy Myself after Vibration Of Life included a Frankenstein tease. After this show the band and crew traveled 293 miles overnight to Chicago, Illinois for a day off to celebrate Thanksgiving.
