This was the first show of a 2-night stand and Phish’s only visit to this venue – a historic, Baroque, Chicago-style theater known as “the first modern commercial playhouse west of the Mississippi” opened in 1912 with a capacity of about 1,360. Tickets cost $18.50 and the show was sold out. Runaway Jim featured a Gypsy Queen tease. Amazing Grace was performed A cappella without microphones. This rendition of You Enjoy Myself was released on “A Live One”.
