Show Notes

This was Phish’s sixth show at the Somerville Theatre – an 18-and-over show billed as Phish with Special Guests: The Giant Country Horns.  The Giant Country Horns were Dave “The Truth” Grippo, Russell “Killer” Remington and Carl “Gears” Gerhard.  The David Bowie intro included teases of Bouncing Around The Room.  You Enjoy Myself featured teases of Frankenstein.  After Gumbo, Trey introduced the horns including Grippo on clarinet and “of course, the last member of the Giant Country Horns, on trombone ladies and gentlemen, Henrietta!”  This was the “Esther Video” show.  After Touch Me, Page told everybody to stick around for the showing of the Esther Video.  At setbreak, John Greene, Greg DeoCampo and others from Company of Science and Art (CoSA) showed an animated video of Esther that sync’d the song and Scott Nybakken’s color chalk pastel drawings.  I Didn’t Know  featured Fish’s mom, Mimi Fishman in her 1st known performance on vacuum.  Trey introduced her saying “without this woman, none of us would be here.”  During Tweezer, Trey teased The Divided Sky while Fish testified.  During Big Black Furry Creature From Mars, the horns were introduced and the I Love Lucy Theme was teased.  Carl Gerhard delivered a trumpet solo during Lawn Boy and Runaway Jim was sung as “Runaway Yim.”  This show was released in 2019 as an archival stream/download at LivePhish.com.
