Show Notes

This was the first show of a 2-night stand at The Front presented by Shawn Sweeney and WNCS 104.7 FM.  This show was not listed in the Apr/May 1991 Phish Update, which listed two shows on May 12 and May 13.  The flyer subsequently listed Saturday 5/11 as a 21-and-over show and Sunday 5/12 as an 18-and-over show.  Page teased In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida during Tweezer.  After Chalk Dust Torture, Trey pointed out that this was the last non-all-ages set at The Front and lamented the Bruins’ NHL loss to the Penguins that night (the Penguins went on to win the Stanley Cup).  Tom Baggott sat in on harmonica during You Enjoy Myself, which included a Flash Light (Parliament cover) tease during the bass-and-drums section.  Woman From Tokyo and Theme from Peter Gunn were teased during Terrapin.  Following some fiery guitar work during Big Black Furry Creature From Mars, Fish introduced Trey as “Eddie Van Anastasio”.  Some setlists include the following songs between Reba and The Oh Kee Pa Ceremony:  Donna Lee, Mike’s Song  > I Am Hydrogen, > Weekapaug Groove, Tela.   This setlist, adopted from Dan O’Neil’s and Todd Ahrens’ audience recording, does not include those songs.
