Set List
Show Notes
This all ages show was Phish’s 1st and only Plattsburgh show until The Clifford Ball in 1996. This date was originally listed in the Nov/Dec 1991 Phish Update as Angel Ballroom, but was played at the Glitz Auditorium. Tickets cost $12.00 and were general admission. The Authority opened the show.. During soundcheck, Tube was played twice and the soundcheck Blues Jam included some vocals from Trey, singing to the crew (and whoever else was there), “we’d like to see you get naked tonight.” Reba contained subtle teases from Trey of The Christmas Song (Mel Torme’ and Bob Wells cover). An extended David Bowie intro included a tease of Silver Bells (Jay Livingston and Ray Evans cover) as well as The Simpsons, Popeye, Charlie Chan and Random Laugh secret language. Page was introduced as Leon before his piano solo in My Sweet One. During the Hold Your Head Up intro, Trey said “Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together and leave them together for Henrietta.” During the beginning of Love You, before he started to sing, Fish introduced Trey on the drums. Page took a piano solo during Love You, urging Fish to acknowledge him (twice) “Page…more Page”, before his vacuum solo. After the Hold Your Head Up outro Fish said “I just want you all to know, I bled for you.” Sweet Adeline was performed without microphones. Note that SUNY Plattsburgh’s Memorial Hall (a different venue than Phish played) hosted Peter Frampton on 11/22/75 when he recorded Do You Feel Like We Do for his classic live album “Frampton Comes Alive”.
