Set List

Show Notes

This 1-set show was Phish’s second date on the 1993 H.O.R.D.E. Festival and their sixth and final H.O.R.D.E. performance. It was also the band’s 1st show at the Classic – a shed style amphtitheater with a capacity of 10,040. Other bands who played included Allgood, Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Rescue Unit, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, The Samples, Widespread Panic and Blues Traveler. During You Enjoy Myself, the band was joined by Chan Kinchla, John Popper, Dave Matthews, members of ARU (including Matt Mundy and Jimmy Herring) Todd Park Mohr and other guests. Popper, who was in a wheelchair at the time from a motorcycle accident, was safely backstage with a remote microphone. When the time came for the trampolines segment, an effigy of Popper wearing his harmonica vest was lowered in a wheelchair above a huge trampoline while he played along offstage. Making fun of Popper’s size (he was huge at the time), the cord snapped sending the dummy right through the trampoline onto that stage. At that point, the special guests attacked the effigy while Popper continued playing harmonica from backstage. It is possible there was supposed to be a second Phish set at this gig, but none was played.
