Show Notes
This show took place at a performing arts theater with a capacity of about 1,500. The soundcheck yielded the 1st performance of Ready For Love (Bad Company cover) which was partially mashed up with bits of No Quarter and Slave (Rolling Stones cover). Soundcheck also included a Tube Jam with Trey narrating the words and a halftime “rock version” of Nellie Kane. Trey sang Fee without his megaphone, which he’d been using for most shows. During I Didn’t Know, Fish was introduced by Trey as “The Missing LInk” before his trombone solo. Amazing Grace was performed without microphones. Trey played The Horse on acoustic guitar. In the midst of the first Hold Your Head Up intro, people were calling for The Prison Joke to which Fish responded “YOU may tell the prison joke if you want.” An audience member named Sam took him up on it and re-told Fish’s Prison Joke for the first time in almost two years (since 4/11/91). After the punch line, Fish said “now you see the damage that The Prison Joke can do.” After a second Hold Your Head Up intro, Fish sang Terrapin and blew a vacuum solo. Carolina was also performed without microphones.
