Show Notes

This was the first night of an all ages, 2-night stand billed by the promoter as “Third Annual Thanksgiving Jam!” Advance tickets cost $18 and the shows were sold out. The narration in Fly Famous Mockingbird took the audience on a journey “inside Fish’s head.” Memories was performed without microphones, making the most of the ornate theater’s acoustics. Possum contained Fall Down and Random Note secret language. David Bowie included teases of I Walk The Line and a review tease of McGrupp And The Watchful Hosemasters. Before Faht, Fish announced, “this is in honor of Jimi Hendrix’s birthday. It’s called Wyndham Hell.” In the middle of Take The ‘A’ Train, Fish paused to say “Thank you, it’s Jimi Hendrix’s birthday”. Trey also referred to Jimi as “the greatest electric guitarist ever” during this set. Voodoo Child (Slight Return) and Purple Haze were subsequently teased during Cavern.
