Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show in Cincinnati (in 2003, Trey wrote a song named after the city that has yet to be performed live by Phish). It was an all ages show. Bogart’s was originally a vaudeville theater built in 1905, later a movie house and, at this time, a rock club with a capacity around 300. Dog Log, played during soundcheck, ended with a Misty Mountain Hop (Led Zeppelin cover) tease. During Guelah Papyrus, between The Asse Festival and Guelah (The Fly), was a long pause with some drums plus Oom Pah Pah and The Simpsons secret language. Trey introduced Fish as Henrietta before his trombone solo I Didn’t Know. Run Like An Antelope included Random Note secret language. This end of this deconstructed rendition of Weekapaug Groove had Mike adding “Rhode Island…sharing in the Rhode Island Groove” lyrics. The Horse contained the early “Mathilda in between” lyric. Some funny banter ensued during Love You when Fish explained “this is my 1967 Electrolux…this is not safe.” Fish, Trey and Mike made some vocal play of the line “Don’t try this at home” before Fish blew a vacuum solo inspired by Over The Rainbow.
