Show Notes

This was an 18-and-over show. A flyer commissioned by the promoter for this and the next night at Trax depicted a scene from Gamehendge. Trey’s narration during Fly Famous Mockingbird was a rundown of the Gamehendge story that included teases of Wilson. Rift was also teased during Fly Famous Mockingbird. The David Bowie intro featured teases of Take Five (Dave Brubeck cover). This raucous Mike’s song included some loud screaming by the band and a tease of Main Street (Bob Seger cover) during Weekapaug. Before I Didn’t Know, Trey introduced Fish as “Clifford O’Sullivan, a beacon of light in the world of flight.” This was a quote from the Clifford Ball plaque at the Pittsburgh International Airport and the 1st known live reference to the great aviator who helped shape Phish history. Fish subsequently played his solo during I Didn’t Know on his vacuum powered bagpipes. Giant Country Horn Carl “Gears” Gerhard joined the band on cornet for Brother and Cavern.
