Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show in Missouri. It was an all ages show in a rock club with a capacity of about 1000. Pictures Of Matchstick Men (Status Quo cover) was teased during Tweezer. The You Enjoy Myself vocal jam developed into a Rock On (David Essex cover) feel before Fish’s solo on his vacuum powered bagpipes that led into Big Black Furry Creature From Mars. Follow The Yellow Brick Road was teased during Creature, which was dedicated to Brett Hull who, at the time, was Right Wing for the St. Louis Blues hockey team. After Cracklin’ Rosie, Trey joked that the entire St. Louis Blues team was on the guest list and he was glad to see one of them in the audience, referring to his old friend Roger “he’s a crazy little kid” Holloway.
