Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show at Roseland Ballroom. Roseland is a historic dance institution founded in Philadelphia but moved to New York City in 1919 where it became a haven for ballroom and eventually big band dancing. It was moved to its current location, a converted ice skating rink, in the mid-1950’s with a capacity of about 3,200. This was an all ages gig. This performance of Harry Hood contained teases of Over The Rainbow during the intro. Possum included The Simpsons, Oom Pah Pah and Random Note secret language. John Popper joined the band on harmonica for the encore, Sleeping Monkey, Good Times Bad Times.
