Show Notes

This was an all ages, 1-set show opening for Santana in the home arena of the New Mexico State Aggies. It was Phish’s 1st show in Las Cruces, home of David “The Timer” Steinberg (who was in attendance) and future Tour Manager, Richard “Dickie Scotland” Glasgow (who was not). In a possible nod to The Timer and his small crew of local heads, David Bowie included Fall Down secret language. Fish sat in on vacuum during Santana’s set. Taping was not allowed at the Santana shows and no audience recording of this show is known to circulate.
