Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show at their hometown Flynn Theatre. It was an all ages show presented by Dionysian Productions, co-sponsored by 104.7 The Point WNCS. Tickets were $10. I Didn’t Know featured Fish on his new vacuum bagpipes. After I Didn’t Know, Trey introduced Fish as Showboat Gertrude and dedicated the song “to Nectar himself, who’s sitting somewhere out there in the audience.” After Rift, Trey announced “That’s a new song”. The David Bowie intro included teases of The Divided Sky, It’s Ice, Eliza, Tweezer, Golgi Apparatus and You Enjoy Myself plus some announcements/jokes about “the friends of Matt DeCorletto.” Before Cracklin’ Rosie , Fish said “Everyone just pretend I am Mr. Neil Diamond…just for a few minutes.” After the Cold As Ice outro, Page ribbed the security, saying “How about those guys. Big hand for Northeast Security. Those guys know how to have fun.” Sweet Adeline was performed without microphones and is completely inaudible on soundboard masters of the show because Trey asked Paul to kill the P.A. to avoid hiss in the room.
