Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show at GWU’s historic Lisner Auditorium, which was built in the early 1940’s with a capacity of about 1,450.  It was an all ages, St. Patrick’s day show with Everything opening.  Possum included The Simpsons secret language and Run Like An Antelope included Random Note and Will The Circle Be Unbroken secret language.  During Poor Heart, Trey introduced Mike before his bass solo as Cactus.  During Love You, before Fish’s solo on his “new toy” – the vacuum powered bagpipes – Fish complimented the venue and introduced the band for a round of solos “…on piano, Mr. Page McConnell, on the bass, Mr. Michael Gordon, on the tubs, Mr. Ernest Guiseppe Anastasio.”  Memories and Sweet Adeline, which comprised the encore, were performed without microphones.
