Show Notes

This was the second show of a 2-night stand and Phish’s third and final show at the Palace Theater. Diamond Girl from soundcheck featured The Dude of Life on vocals, in preparation for his upcoming New Year’s Eve sit-in . Wilson contained an extended section (similar to 12/8/92) that gave the band a chance to showcase The Simpsons, Random Note, and Finger Scrape secret language signals. Tweezer included teases of Who Knows. Mike’s Song featured teases of On Broadway and Blue Bayou, the latter with Fall Down secret language. Mike kicked off Weekapaug Groove with another tease of Blue Bayou. Trey announced that Terrapin was the slowest version ever. Terrapin’s slow tempo prompted Fish to introduce the band with various extra-slow nicknames. The second Big Ball Jam, played during the encore before Carolina, was performed A Cappella and, like Carolina, was performed without microphones. In contast to Terrapin, the Rocky Top encore was performed especially fast.
