Show Notes
This was an all ages, 1-set outdoors show at “the Forest Theatre” opening for the Violent Femmes and Lou Reed. This scenic venue has a capacity of about 23,000 and is said to be one of Europe’s most beautiful venues. Phish began Buried Alive while a German announcer was delivering the Introduction of the show and “Phish. Hold Your Head Up signaled Henrietta’s European debut. Fish asked “Do you know Syd Barrett? This is a Syd Barrett song…and this is an Electrolux vacuum cleaner.” Love You showcased what is believed to have been Europe’s 1st ever vacuum solo. Cocoon also played.
